As part of our business plan and our overall budget, we have implemented a very dynamic, modern affiliate incentive program that allows anybody with access to our potential customers to benefit from partnering with us. Simply append your unique #tag to the end of our website address and we count those sales towards you!
Affiliates General Info
Info applicable to both Internet as well as Physical Location Affiliates
An Affiliate of Cape Town Pass can officially refer people to Cape Town Pass with the purpose that the would download the free Cape Town Pass APP and at some point for them to buy a one or more passes from Cape Town Pass. The Affiliate then earns a referral commission of 5% of the price that the buyer of the pass(es) paid.
Anyone (business / individual / corporate / clubs / associations / schools etc) can become a Cape Town Pass Affiliate. Email affiliates@capetownpass.travel and request an Affiliate Sign-up Document. Complete the Affiliate Sign-Up and forward it to affiliates@capetownpass.travel. Cape Town Pass will load the Affiliate detail on the system and supply you with one or more referral mechanism.

Websites, Blogs, News sites, Social Media, etc.
b. via a Cape Town Pass logo that had been embedded into your website. The logo appears on your website by embedding two lines of HTML Code that we give you into your website. These two lines of code sets the referral code in the background and also allows Cape Town Pass to track how many times the image has been viewed (impressions). When the viewer clicks on the logo, it takes them to the Cape Town Pass website from where they can view all the detail about Cape Town Pass / download the app etc. If and when the person then buys a pass from Cape Town Pass, the Affiliate earns the commission on it. When the client uses the pass (so that we know there will not be a refund request on the pass), the Affiliate receives the commission for that pass.
c. via web links / URL referrals. Any of the Cape Town Pass web pages can be appended with your Affiliate / referral code. If the code was taken from a sticker it will likely be something like EST0123. If the referral code was manually assigned it will be a human readable word like lionpark. Web pages like http://capetownpass.travel or http://capetownpass.travel/app will be appended as http://capetownpass.travel/#lionpark or http://capetownpass.travel/app/#lionpark . If the link ended with .html like http://capetownpass.travel/pricing.html then the address is simply appended with the #referral code to make http://capetownpass.travel/pricing.html#lionpark as an example. The same can be done with the codes from the stickers to make links like http://capetownpass.travel/#EST0123 or http://capetownpass.travel/pricing.html#EST0123. Whatever page the Affiliate choose to refer the client to will set the browser for that person that the referral code is in the browser. When the client buys the pass, the Affiliate / referrer earns the commission. When the client uses the pass (so that we know there will not be a refund request on the pass), the Affiliate receives the commission for that pass.
A web-affiliate is an Affiliate that refers clients to Cape Town Pass via their web page using their affiliate / referral code appended to the url as shown in the question “How do Affiliates refer potential clients to Cape Town Pass?”
When you apply you can choose an unique #tag that you can append to our website address and post on your website or blog. You can also post our logo's or images of our pass with than link.
Whenever someone clicks through on those links we credit you with the sale of any passes they buy.
Once a week you will automatically receive a report on all of your sales for the previous week.
If you are in South Africa we will EFT your payment to your bank account on that Wednesday.
If you are outside South Africa we will send your payment to a PayPal account of your choosing.
Physical Locations
Restaurants, Coffee Shops, B&B's, Travel Information etc.
a. via a Cape Town Pass sticker that has a unique QR code on it. The client clicks on the QR code with their bar-code reader on a smart phone. The QR code takes the client to the Cape Town Pass website where the free Cape Town Pass app can be downloaded. In the background Cape Town Pass knows from which sticker the client arrived at the website to download the app and thus when the client buys a pass, the system knows from which sticker the referral came. Each sticker is linked on our admin-backoffice to an Affiliate. When the client uses the pass (so that we know there will not be a refund request on the pass), the Affiliate receives the commission for that pass.
When you apply we will supply you with one or more unique decals (stickers) to display in your location. Each decal contains a unique #tag and a unique QR Code.
Whenever someone scans that QR code or enters your #tag we credit you with the sale of any passes they buy.
Once a week you will automatically receive a report on all of your sales for the previous week.
If you are in South Africa we will EFT your payment to your bank account on that Wednesday.
If you are outside South Africa we will send your payment to a PayPal account of your choosing.
